Welcome to hope

Located in Watsontown, Pa, Hope Cottage is the first homeschool group of its kind in our area.  We offer a Charlotte Mason Coop + Courses to assist parents in homeschool. We want to enjoy the freedom and privilege of homeschooling while benefiting from the structure of a one-day per week classroom environment with private group lessons based on Classical and Charlotte Mason methods of education.

Hope Cottage is dedicated to inspiring a love of learning in each child.
Children enjoy the structure of a Christian, classroom with lessons taught by a teacher to enhance and assist the lessons taught at home by the parents through the week. Parents enjoy the support of a course with optional step-by-step lesson plans to use throughout the week. Each program of study is taught by a teacher trained in the classical and charlotte mason methods with parent support, coop, and growing living book library.

What makes hope cottage
unique?

Hope Cottage is not a school, but a homeschool support group that meets 1 day per week for courses and 1 day per month for a nature study coop. Instruction is provided in a classroom-style environment to offer structure and friendships with parents providing guided lessons throughout the week. Class sizes are kept to a minimum to increase participation and to ensure a high level of attention is granted each student. Lessons are incremental, content is age-appropriate, and students learn the important skill of quality written work completed in a timely manner.  Parents may choose to stay and read in our growing living book library or drop and pick-up. Because we are a support group, parents are given the opportunity to volunteer in different ways.
